  • It's been a long while since my last update.
Many things had happen during that time...
A little good, a whole lot of bad.

Anyways, here come a long long entry. Since I don't think everyone who read
this will be interested in everything, I'm dividing this post into sections. Read
what you want easy as that.

    Zoo
Went to Brookfield Zoo sometime this summer, didn't really go early enough to
see everything but saw a good majority of it. Here's some pictures from the zoo.

    Wisconsin Dells
Spent a weekend during Aug. there. Burned $200+ that I didn't really have to
spend at the time there... j/k hehe. It was money well spent as I really needed a
break from everything during that time. Went to the water park, go cart racing,
    and a few other things.

Went to the Mt. Olympus theme park friday and rode on some roller coaster and go carts.

Saturday we went to waterpark as you can see.

Sunday morning we ride on the Duck and went to Ripley's

Just before we leave, me and Allen both bought a pair of baby turtles.
That's basically the simple version of what happened that weekend.

    Turtles
Got two baby red-eared sliders turtles. Officially my first pet as far as I can
remember. (well... I had a caterpillar for like 2 days when I was 7 or 8)
I have to admit that I knew nothing about taking care of turtles. So then
I went to the libary and crammed all the turtle caretaking knowledge I can
into my head. Then I started on my quest to get everything setup. I started
with a 10 gal. tank and a water filter. The turtles needed a place to bask so I
nailed two pieces of wood together and got this.

It was plain and simple. Nothing much but the turtles needed more.
That's the blueish green turtle, now it's so much bigger.
Also the water filter wasn't working correctly so I had to exchange it.

First I got rid of the wood. Then I got some nice looking gravels, a floating dock
for the turtles to bask, a rock cave for them to hide, a water heater, a new
under-water filter, some fake plants and 2 basking lamps. So now it looks like
    this.

Now as for the turtles... I got two of them as you already know. A bigger light
green one and a smaller metalic blueish green one. When I first got them, they
didn't eat at all and was spazing out at everything... As time goes by, they seem
to adjust and started to eat the reptomin. The smaller one has adjusted to
human (or at lease me anyways) and comes up to the glass waiting for food
whenever I go to the tank. The bigger one still spaz out all the time but have to
a degree gotten used to me these few days and will eat off my hand now. They
have gotten bigger and noticably fatter (especially the big one) so I might cut
back just a little on their food. I currently feed them twice daily.

The bigger green one at the corner

This picture would have been better if it was higher and more focus.
(I had to lure them out with a treat while taking the picture with my left hand)
The smaller blueish one on left, the bigger green one on right.
I hope I didn't traumatize them with the camera flash...

Oh yeah one more thing... it's been almost a month since I got them, but I have
yet to name them. Any ideas? so far the only suggestion has been Ren and
Stimpy, and Turtle and Turtle Prime?  Anyways maybe you guys got some new
ideas. I think that's all for the turtles, more infos on future updates.

    C.D.
Well I got CD (no it's not compact disc either). For those who knows well you
know, for those who don't well too bad  move on to the next topic or
something if you can't figure it out. I really really hate it...  something that
just does not go away when you want it to. It affects and have affected so
much of who I am. So many things are attached to it that I just have to slowly
attack this thing, one at a time I guess. Arg

    Rant
OK... Here's my rant... that means I am about to just go off and talk about
whatever. It's like me talking to myself (so it's real boring stuff, Rant = skip
    ahead haha) Here goes...

Human invented languages to express verbally a emotion that they have in their
mind. Somewhere along the line certain words began to hold more importance.
One such word is "sorry". The word sorry mean feeling sorrow according to the
dictionary. However it now seems to carry so much more important to it. When
someone say sorry, that supposed to make what the person did a little bit
better, a little more acceptable. I personally don't see why this is... Awhile ago if
any of you remembers, there was a diplomatic incident between Japan and US
over an accident between a fishing boat and submarine. (as correct as I can
remember about the incident) The deal was that Japan wanted a sorry while US
thought sorry means they are responsible and won't say it. This dragged on for
awhile till a final resolution came about. Seriously tho does sorry really makes
thing any better? Anyways... on to my next rant...

¡u¦]ªG¡vor in english Karma. It's a buddhist term as most of you probably know.
It recently came into my mind (partly due to watching the movie ¡u¤j°¦¨Ð¡v).
Anyways here's my take on it... When you do something kind it plants a seed
and it spawns and causes more kindness that's ¦].(of course the opposite also
holds true for bad) For example, When I was little and still in HK, I would
sometimes take the bus over walking home from school. The bus do gets full and
sometimes I would give my sit to old ladies coming back from grocery shopping
carrying a lot of bags. For me it was no big deal since it was a super short ride
so I could care less if I stand the whole ride. Sometimes tho it does put the lady
in a better mood than before. So maybe just maybe, that insignificant event
caused the lady to be kind to someone else immediately afterward. That could in
theory cause a chain reaction of kindness which could come back and
unknowingly affect you. (Kinda sound like The Chaos Theory...) This part is the
ªG. So if everyone would just be a little nicer, this world would be a whole lot
better. (Of couse maybe very naive thinking on my part) Why do I think about all
this? Well I wonder... lately things haven't been well for me.. some coincidental,
some caused indirectly by me, while other are not.. But it makes you think a lot
about things you did in the past and what's ahead in the future.

Everyone has played Pac-Man... it's a classic. Did you know that it was originally
named Puck-Man? When the game moved from Japan to US, they feared that
someone with a marker would change the P in "Puck" to er... someother Letter
making Puck-Man to *uck-Man. I myself am actually surprise that they would
even think of that... Anyways just thought you would like to know.

    Basketball
Well I've mostly if not completely stop playing indoor basketball. That's right I
have gone back to where it all started for me, my basketball roots is streetball.
When I am playing streetball, it's a whole other game. I play with people I don't
know therefore I don't have to answer to any of them. When I first play ball for
HKSA I have to admit that back then I was wild and selfish. But I could score...
back then tho so could everyone else on the team so my @$$ was on the bench
during most of the inter-school tournements. Under the guidance of the coach. I
learn real quick to become a team player, to pass first shoot later. Of course
things can never ever stay the same. Team play fell out of order and individual
play became the norm for the team. All of a sudden not shooting means not
having the ability to play. I went to the bottom in terms of offensive option.
Worst yet, people started to question my abilities. They think "if you are so
good, prove it"... well I wouldn't mind if people would actually pass me the
f***ing ball more. Then I get blamed when I play, I get blamed when I don't.
Anyways it doesn't really matter anymore I'm having so much fun playing
streetball now. That's what it's all about anyways, having fun. It also feels so
good under the sun and with a little wind blowing through cooling you off. It
would be nice to have a water fountain on the court tho as you would naturally
get thirsty from playing. One bad thing about streetball... about a week ago,
this little kid (7 or 8 years old) stole my nice ball. I was playing a full court game
when I saw the kid picked up my ball and took it to the other court to shoot.
Next thing I know when I finished the game, the kid's gone and my ball's gone.
That just ruined my week... seriously the ball could be replace but 7 or 8 kid
stealing in broad daylight, that's just not right.

    Cooking
Well I didn't really cook much if any at all but did make my very first
cheesecakes. I really like it and for a first time, it was a success. (I little less
lemon zest) I made it for my sister's graduation party and her friends finished the
whole thing. Here's a picture of it.

Have a couple of recipy of things I want to try but when I have time I guess.

    B-Day
Lastly I have to thank all those who remembered my B-day.  (Even if some
were belated... ) Also thanks to the one that sent me those presents, I really
liked them but you really shouldn't have.

    Conclusion
Anyways this post took me awhile to write, feels like I just wrote an essay.
I think this covered some of the stuff that happened to me, since I didn't want
to vent everything and tried to keep this post as positive as possible. If this is
the only part of the post you read, then let me tell you that you didn't miss
much hehe. From now on, updates will be more frequent as I don't feel that
writing essay long post are any fun.
